K. Ramakrishna Mayyia's romance with vegetarian food began at an early age, inspired by the traditional fare dished out at home. Owing to the authentic traditional fare, Sri Mayyia Caterers achieved instant acclaim and soon became synonymous as caterers of traditional vegetarian fare. Over the years, Sri Mayyia Caterers established themselves as one of the top vegetarian caterers in Karnataka. As recognition and adulation grew, Sri Mayyia Caterers expanded their horizon to greater heights. In 1996, K. Ramakrishna Mayyia left this world, but not before he had established the brand Sri Mayyia Caterers.
The commitment and passion for food and beverage catering continued with the legacy being handed over to Ananth Mayyia, Son of Mr. Ramakrishna Mayyia.
Having worked over a decade with his father, Ananth Mayyia had developed the requisite skills, carried forward the traditions, springboarding the company to greater heights. Ananth Mayyia brought rapid innovations, incorporated some of the latest trends, creating fresh styles in food presentations and serving standards.
Ananth Mayyia travelled across the globe, understanding the different cultural and regional food preferences, innovations in wedding catering in foreign countries, customized and implemented them to suit client preferences.
Sri Mayyia Caterers today offers a variety of food choices in a multitude of cuisines including, South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and many more. Today, Sri Mayyia Caterers boasts of having catered to over 15,000 events and delighting over 30 million customers with lip-smacking food.
Akash Mayyia is the third generation entrepreneur with a bachelors degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management.
Akash Mayyia is passionate about pursuing his objectives of making the F&B Catering industry into an organised sector through systems, standards and processes.
Akash has been experimenting with various ideas and business models to render advanced solutions to the F&B industry.
Currently Akash Mayyia heads the operations of Sri Mayyia Caterers responsible for operational efficiency of the business.
In addition, Akash holds the position of a director at Utsah Hospitality Private Limited which is a sister concern of Sri Mayyia Caterers, an emerging business foraying into corporate catering services, cloud kitchens and packed food for events.
